Producing Programmes
Point of View Productions has over 30 years experience in the production of films and television documentaries. Besides initiating its own projects, it will act as producer for selected programmes with outside directors or writers. Shirley Horrocks, Managing Director of Point of View, is one of New Zealand’s leading producers and directors of documentaries. Her work has won many awards. Her qualifications include: B.A., M.A. (Honours), M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration), and a graduate Drama Diploma, from the University of Auckland; also a Diploma of Education (ACE).

She was appointed a Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to documentary filmmaking, in the 2019 New Year Honours. The citation notes that "Horrocks is a leader in documentary films on the arts in New Zealand and has directed and produced documentaries for 35 years"
