Kiwi As
Kiwi As takes another journey through Kiwiana, the things that represent the New Zealand way of life. It’s an entertaining and informative look at the popular “icons” of New Zealand’s unique culture.
Directed by Shirley Horrocks Kiwi As is the sequel (by popular demand) to Kiwiana. Complete in itself this documentary explores many aspects of the ‘Kiwi” way of life, including how we talk, how we eat, and the importance of our rural history. There are lively contributions from personalities such as the late Angela D’Audney and the inimitable Gary McCormick, film director Ian Mune, pop commentator Chris Knox, pop star Bic Runga, and the Ponsonby Pie Man, to name but a few.
